A Khorjin rug is a type of rug originating from nomadic tribes in various regions of Iran. Its name comes from the traditional saddlebag, or "khorjin," used by these tribes. These rugs are characterized by a flat-woven front and back joined by the sides, typically featuring geometric motifs, animal or floral designs, and tribal patterns. Crafted from high-quality wool and natural dyes, Khorjin rugs have earthy color palettes and are both decorative and functional. They historically served as floor coverings, bedding, and insulation in nomadic tents. Today, they are prized for their rustic charm, authentic craftsmanship, and cultural significance, adding character to any space.
