Origin of Mound Rugs
Moud Wool Rug 6.7x9.7, a city located south of Mashed and Brigand in Iran, produces some of the most beautiful and detailed carpets in the world. These rugs often feature the Heart pattern, with or without a central medallion, which not only adds depth to a room but also creates the illusion of a larger space. This visual effect stands out, especially when considering the intricate designs typical of Mood rugs.
Craftsmanship and Design
Artisans skillfully craft Mound rugs from cotton, utilizing a delicate woolen pile that ensures both softness and durability. The patterns vary significantly, ranging from simple to intricate, with medium to large sizes being the most common. Furthermore, the rugs boast a rich color palette, often featuring deep blues, reds, and browns, which are typically set against an ivory background to create a stunning contrast. Moreover, a higher knot count enhances the quality of the rug, making the design not only more refined but also more detailed.
