Origin of Moud Rugs
Moud Wool Rug 6.8x9.8 is a city located south of Mashad and Birdjan, known for producing some of Iran’s most exquisite and detailed carpets. These rugs frequently feature a Herati pattern, sometimes accompanied by a central medallion. Moud carpets are unique in that they create the illusion of a larger space by adding depth to a room, which is particularly impressive given their intricate designs.
Materials and Design
One of the remarkable qualities of Moud rugs is their construction, typically made of cotton with a soft woollen pile. These rugs come in sizes ranging from medium to large, making them versatile for different spaces. The color schemes often combine deep blues, dark reds, and browns, commonly set against an ivory background. The artistry and quality of Moud carpets are exceptional, and as the knot count increases, so does the level of detail and beauty in the design.
