Najafabad rugs originate from the city of Najafabad in central Iran. These rugs are highly regarded for their quality craftsmanship, intricate designs, and use of premium materials, making them esteemed among Persian rugs.
\n
\nTypically, Najafabad rugs feature traditional Persian motifs such as floral patterns, medallions, and geometric designs. These motifs are often intricately woven with a rich color palette, including deep blues, reds, greens, and ivory, achieved through the use of natural dyes.
\n
\nOne notable characteristic of Najafabad rugs is their thick pile and sturdy construction, providing both comfort and durability. They are hand-knotted using traditional techniques passed down through generations, reflecting the expertise and skill of the local artisans.
